A space to experiment with creativity through the medium of writing and photography.

Hi, I’m Rishabh Khaneja, a writer and photographer. In 2024, I founded Creative Writing Laboratory with a vision to offer safe, empathetic, and creative spaces for individuals. In today’s world, driven by technology and urbanization, many of us find ourselves increasingly isolated from our communities and from our true selves. This detachment is often exploited to drive consumerism, pushing us towards superficial goals like bigger houses, flashy cars, and external validation.

As a result, we lose touch with the essence of life—meaning, playfulness, and creativity. This disconnection makes us more vulnerable to control and less in touch with our inner selves. I believe we need to reconnect with the childlike wonder within us. To truly discover who we are, we must embrace creativity without reservation—drawing, painting, writing, coloring, singing, and dancing as freely as children do.

Creative Writing Laboratory aims to provide exactly this: spaces where creativity, freedom, playfulness, and empathy flourish. Through collaborations with educational institutions and corporates, I facilitate experiences that nurture creativity using writing, storytelling, and photography.

In the past year, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with various organizations, facilitating workshops on art, storytelling, writing, and photography. With five years of experience as an educator and my journey as a Teach For India fellow, my passion lies in bringing art and creativity into the lives of students. As a writer and photographer, I’m equally committed to fostering creativity and playfulness among my peers.
